Andronikashvili Institute of Physics, 6 Tamarashvili Street, 0177 Tbilisi, Georgia<br> </i></p> <P align=justify> The binding energy of Cd(II) ions with the globular protein C-phycocyanin extracted from <i>Spirulina platensis</i> was determined using equilibrium dialysis and atomic absorption spectroscopy. Cooperative binding of cadmium ions with C-phycocyanin was observed.
